Painting a canvas of unbroken sky
Adorned brightly with uninterrupted blue
Not marred by leaves or clouds
And undisturbed by a breeze or a sigh

Talons reach like arrows
Spearing wishes aloft

Flung beyond what my eyes can see
Spiny fingers release all of my dreams to the wind
Tossed by branches bared to the bone
Hope thrives in the life of a tree
